Purchase confirmed

Your messages are ready to switch on.

Payment went through and your receipt is already on its way to your inbox. Here is exactly what happens next, and roughly when.

What happens next

Three things, and two of them are ours to do.

1

Your receipt is on its way

Paddle handles billing for Back On Stage, so your receipt arrives from Paddle on behalf of Back On Stage Software Inc. Keep it for your books.

2

A team member switches SMS on

Someone from Back On Stage enables SMS on your company account and emails you within one business day to confirm it is live. Nothing for you to configure.

3

You choose what gets texted

Once it is live, open the Notification Control Center in each of your active companies and tick SMS beside the notifications you want sent by text. Our activation email walks you through it step by step, so if anything is unclear at that point, just reply and we will help.

Nothing is needed from you right now. Watch your inbox for the activation email.

Step 3, in a bit more detail

Twenty-five notifications. You pick which ones become texts.

Back On Stage already sends all of these by email, and email stays the default. Nothing starts texting on its own. When SMS is live, every notification gets an SMS checkbox next to its email checkbox, and an admin ticks the ones worth interrupting someone for.

Leads

Two things worth knowing before you start ticking. Settings are company-wide and admin only, so if you run more than one company you choose separately in each. And your musicians each verify their mobile number in their profile once, which is what opts them in.
United States and Canada only. Our carrier registration currently covers North American phone numbers. Anyone on your roster with a number outside those two countries keeps receiving their notifications by email, exactly as they do today. If that affects most of your team, reply to your activation email and we will sort it out with you.
Coming soon

The Subscription and SMS Management Portal.

We are rebuilding it right now. Once it lands, all of this moves inside your Back On Stage account, so you will be able to:

  • Watch your message balance in real time
  • See what has been sent, to whom, and when
  • Buy another pack in a couple of clicks without leaving the app
  • Manage your subscription in the same place

You are not waiting on it. Your credits are on your account and working the moment we activate SMS. The portal simply puts the controls in your hands instead of ours.

Until then

It works much like your phone bill.

Your credits never expire

They sit on your account until you use them, so a quiet January costs you nothing.

We tell you when you are running low

You get an email before the balance runs out, so a busy booking week never catches you short.

Top up whenever suits

Buy another pack at that point and sending carries straight on. No subscription, no monthly commitment.

Nothing gets dropped

If the balance does hit zero before you top up, your notifications fall back to email so your players still hear from you.

Need a bigger volume? If you are sending more than 2,000 messages a month, get in touch rather than stacking packs and we will quote you properly.

Questions about your purchase?

Reach out any time. We would rather hear from you early than have you wondering whether it went through.
